Vanilla Milk Shake

Combine 2 cups vanilla ice cream, 3/4 cup milk, and 1 teaspoon of
vanilla extract in a blender.  Process until smooth.  Makes 6 servings.

Vanilla Ice Cream

No cook ice cream. Makes 5 cups (8 servings).

2 cups heavy whipping cream,
 2 cups half-and-half cream,
3/4 cup white sugar,
 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

In a large bowl, combine the heavy cream and the half and half.
Gradually whisk in the sugar until blended.  Whisk in the vanilla. Refrigerate, covered,
until very cold, at least 3 hours or as long as 3 days. Whisk the mixture to blend
and pour into the canister of an ice cream maker. Freeze according to the manufacturer's
directions. Eat at once or transfer to a covered container and freeze up to 8 hours.

Vegetables

Clean and cut raw vegetables for a snack.  Before preparing any
vegetables show them to the children.  Make sure that they see things like carrots
with the tops and peels, celery leaves, cucumbers with skins, and a whole head of cauliflower.

Very Hungry Caterpillar Fruit Salad

1 Apple
2 Pears
3 Plums
4 Strawberries
5 Oranges
Bunch of Mint Leaves

Peel, pare, seed, hull and section each fruit. Cut into bite-sized pieces. Then put
them all together in a big bowl and chill. Garnish each serving with a sprig of mint.
Serve to a small group of friends, after reading a good book. You’ll enjoy every bit of it.
