small packages of vanilla instant pudding mix
4 cups of cold milk
1 large container of frozen whipped topping, thawed
1 - 6 ounce package of miniature chocolate chips
1 large package of Oreo cookies, crushed to crumb consistency
Gummi worms
1 child's sand bucket and shovel, cleaned thoroughly
Mix the pudding according to package directions. Allow it to set for
a few minutes,
fold in the whipped topping and chocolate crumbs. Put half of the pudding
mixture
in bottom of the sand bucket. Top with half of the cookie crumbs. Layer
with the
remainder of the pudding and then the rest of the cookie crumbs. Top with
the
Gummi worms, chill. Use a shovel to serve. Variation: To make individual
servings, layer the pudding mixture and cookie crumbs into plastic cups.
Use the pipe cleaners for the handles and plastic spoons for the shovels.
Deviled Dinosaur
Eggs
Make
them the same as you would regular deviled eggs.
Explain to the children that dinosaurs laid eggs.
Dippers
2 x 2
x 1/2-inch meat pieces (chicken, pork, beef or ham)
Honey or jalapeņo jelly (optional)
1 package refrigerator biscuits
2 x 2 x 1/2-inch cheese pieces
Flatten each biscuit. Place meat and cheese on each biscuit.
Put a dab of honey or pepper jelly in also, if desired. Wrap biscuit
around the meat and cheese, sealing all edges. Place on greased
cookie sheet and brush each dipper with melted butter or margarine.
Bake at 400 degrees F
for 10 to 12 minutes or until nicely browned. Serve with a dipping sauce
of your choice. Serves 4.
Dogs in a
Sweater
1 (11
ounce) package refrigerated breadstick dough
8 hot dogs
8 Popsicle sticks
Catsup, mustard and/or ranch dressing
Separate dough; roll each piece into a 15-inch rope. Insert sticks
into hot
dogs lengthwise. Starting at one end, wrap dough in a spiral around hot
dog;
pinch ends to seal. Place 1 inch apart on a baking sheet that has been
coated with nonstick
cooking spray. Bake at 350 degrees F for 18 to 20 minutes. Serve with
toppings of your choice.
Dehydrated Food Snacks
Peel bananas, slice apples, oranges, or other fruit
or vegetables. Put into dehydrator for the day
or overnight depending on the fruit. You may use Ziploc bags or shrink
wrap from a meat deli.
