Nachos

pound ground beef
1/3 cup taco sauce
4 cups tortilla chips
2 cups shredded cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese (8 ounces)
Dairy sour cream (optional)
Chopped tomatoes (optional)
Sliced ripe olives (optional)
Preheat the broiler. In a medium skillet brown ground beef. Drain
fat and stir in taco sauce.
On a pizza pan layer all of the chips, meat mixture, and cheese. Broil 4
to 5 inches from
the heat for 2 to 3 minutes or until cheese melts. Serve with sour
cream, tomatoes,
and olives, if desired. Makes 6 servings.

Make
nachos using the following recipe:
round or triangular corn tortilla chips
1 can refried beans
small jar mild salsa or taco sauce
6 oz. cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese
Arrange the chips in a single layer on a cookie sheet. Top each chip
with 1/2 Tsp.
of refried beans and then 1/2 Tsp salsa. Add a small amount of cheese
(grated or
cut into small chunks) to the top of each. Put the cookie sheet in a 425
degree oven, watching carefully, until cheese melts and bubbles.
