Red, White, and Blue Rice In Sensory Table

In advance, create a supply of red and blue rice by combining half box of rice, one-eighth
cup of red food coloring, and one half cup of rubbing alcohol in a resealable plastic bag.
Allow the pasta to sit for five minutes, turning the bag every minute to evenly coat the rice.
Pour the rice on to a brown paper bag and allow it to dry completely. Do the same procedure to
make blue rice.  Once all the red and blue rice is completely dry, dump it into your sensory tub along
with some plain white rice. Set out scoops, funnels, and homemade sieves for the children to explore.

Flashlight Fun

Make flags or color fireworks on construction paper. Cut out as the shape of the flashlight.
Cover the light with the paper so it will make a flag design or firework design on it when its on.
Have the kids try to catch the flag as you move the flashlight.
This is really fun to do, I did this with my lil girl with a different design.
You will be amazed at how much fun the kids will have with this one.

Bubble Wrap Fireworks

We will have our own fireworks by popping bubble wrap.

Our Flag

Provide each of your children with a color photocopy of the American Flag.  Set out star stickers
that are red, white, and blue.  Have your children place the stickers on the matching colors on their flags.
