Halloween Language Ideas

What Are You Afraid Of?

We aren't allowed to focus on Halloween, so what I do after reading "The
Little Old Lady Who Wasn't Scared of Anything" is to talk to the kids about things
that they are scared of. I then take individual  pictures of them acting
scared. They love to lay down so we can make their hair stand up! We fold a black
piece of paper in half and at the bottom of the folded paper on the front I add
_________wasn't afraid of anything until.....
(student writes name here)

and then open up the book and add to the bottom
a ___________popped out.
(student writes what scares them)

They also draw a picture of what scares them and add a small accordian folded
piece of paper to the back of the picture. They glue the accordian paper to
the inside of the book so when they open up the book, their picture pops out. I
leave these up for open house and the parents love them!
