Cinco de Mayo Game  Ideas

Pinata

Several days before your Cinco de Mayo celebration, have the children make a paper
mache pinata. On Cinco de Mayo, hang the pinata and let the children have fun breaking
it open.  Have the children stand in a wide circle.  Each child should get a chance to hit
the pinata with a stick.  As the children are watching have them clap in rhythm.

Pin the Tail On the Donkey

This is always a fun game for the kids to enjoy! Use a bandana to blindfold the child and
instead of using a tack, try using the sticky putty that you can hang things on your wall with.

Pass the Ball

Blow up a beach ball and the teacher tosses it to a child. Child must count one number out loud in
Spanish, i.e. uno (one) Toss ball back to teacher. Teacher tosses to another child, he/she says "Dos" (two).
So on, etc. until you get to five (cinco) Everyone then shouts "Cinco de Mayo". Can countdown backwards too.
