Baby in Manger

Use clay to form a manger. Let the manger dry and
harden. Add baby  Jesus by making Him out of clay or
using a small store bought baby to fit. As a group project
you can make a "manger" from cardboard pieces and let
children swaddle a baby doll to be the baby Jesus.

Manger Block Play

Turn your block area into a Nativity experience.
Use large blocks to build  a manger and/or stable.

Plastic Nativity Scene

Many times you can purchase a plastic nativity scene at Dollar Stores for your
children to play with.  In addition to the plastic Nativity scene, you can add the
small bales of hay that you can buy at Michaels and plastic farm animals.
Before you set up this activity in the block area, discuss each figure at circle time.
This way it is  a very meaningful experience for your children.
